General questions
The legal warranty applies to all items you purchase from us. Legal warranty means that a product is or must do what the consumer can reasonably expect from it.
Did you receive a damaged product or do you have complaints during the use of your product? We find that just as annoying, of course. In that case, always first contact us. In such cases, we may ask for photos and additional phone explanations to better assess the situation. Additionally, the product needs to be returned so that we can examine it further. Please follow these steps:
- Send an email to info@luxurious-hairextensions.com including the reason for return (explanation of damage), your order number, photos of the damage and possibly your telephone number, so that we can contact you by telephone if desired. Please also indicate in the email whether you would like to receive a replacement or a refund.
- Then return the product with all supplied accessories, if possible in the original condition and packaging to the following address: Luxurious-Hairextensions, Attn. Customer Service, De Vecht 6, 8253 PH, Dronten.
- After receiving your order, you will receive a confirmation by email within 2 working days.
- We then assess, according to our inspection methods and also in consultation with the courier or manufacturer, whether the damage has occurred externally, for example. If so, we will refund the amount of the order, including the costs incurred for return shipping. Or you will receive a new replacement for the order from us, if this is your preference.
- The amount will be refunded as soon as possible (within 14 days after receipt and inspection). We will transfer this amount to the account with which the payment was made.

We understand it can be frustrating if your purchase isn’t exactly what you expected or if you have any complaints about, for example, the service. In that case, please always contact us.
We will handle your complaint as quickly as possible and, if necessary, immediately look for a suitable solution. You will receive a detailed response from us within 14 days of receiving your complaint.

The hair extensions are carefully packaged to ensure quality and hygiene.
Depending on the type of packaging, they are:
- on cardboard with a plastic bag
- in a box, attached to cardboard with a protective sleeve.
In addition, the hair extensions are provided with tags and a security seal.
To qualify for exchange or return, all parts must be completely intact, which means that:
- the security seal must not be broken,
- the tags must remain present,
- and the stitches on the cardboard must be undamaged.
You may carefully open the plastic bag, sleeve, or box to view the hair extensions, as long as you do not remove the extensions from the cardboard and the security seal remains intact.
Tip: The best way to assess if the color suits you is by keeping the hair extensions in the packaging and holding them next to your own hair. This way, you can clearly see if the color blends nicely with your own hair without having to open or remove the product.
We kindly ask you to handle the hair extensions as neatly as possible, especially if you are not yet sure whether you want to keep them or prefer a different color. This way, we can hygienically and properly process the product if needed during exchange or return.

There are various types of hair extensions. They differ from each other in hair type (synthetic or human hair) and the way they can be attached (permanent or temporary).
Our range consists of the following popular hair extensions:
- Deluxe Flat Tips: These are hair extensions that you can have permanently (for 3 to 4 months) attached to your hair with extra small keratin bondings (ends of 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm). The bondings must be professionally attached to your own hair with a heat iron.
- Deluxe Slim Tapes: No heat is used with these hair extensions. Your hair is placed like a sandwich between the tapes (adhesive parts) of the hair extensions. These hair extensions stay in for an average of 6 to 8 weeks, depending on factors including your hair growth. You can have them reapplied afterward. Due to the quality of the hair, these hair extensions remain beautiful for 1 to 2 years.
- Clip-ins: You can easily place these hair extensions yourself and also easily remove them (they are not permanent). You don't need professional application and no heat is used. The hair extensions stay firmly in place thanks to the special clips. They are ideal for a party, a special occasion, or if you want to try something completely different with your hairstyle.
- Stunning Flat Tips: These are hair extensions that can be permanently applied to the hair. The bondings consist of a special keratin wax that is attached to the hair with a heat iron. The ends are small and almost invisible in the hair (1 cm x 1 cm).
- Stunning Tapes: Just like the Deluxe Slim Tapes, no heat is used with these hair extensions. Here too, the hair extensions are placed with your hair between the tapes, like a sandwich. These hair extensions can stay in for 6 to 8 weeks, depending on factors including your hair growth. You can have them reapplied afterward. They stay beautiful for 6 to 10 months.
- Flat Weft:
An ultra-thin, flat woven strip without thickening at the root.
This weft is suitable for various placement techniques (such as microrings or sew-in method) and lies naturally and comfortably against the scalp. - Catwalk Ready Clip-Ins:
These clip-ins are temporary and easy to apply yourself, ideal for special occasions or to vary length and volume.

If you want to be sure that your hair extensions are of the best quality, it is good to take a number of characteristics into account. There are synthetic hair extensions: these hair extensions are made of imitation hair and feel less natural. You also have hair extensions made from 100% Human Hair. When you are pregnant you can wear all types of hair extensions. However, the hormones during your pregnancy can cause you to have more hair loss, even after your pregnancy period. As a result, you may not be able to wear your hair extensions for as long and they may need to be replaced sooner.
You can perfectly buy hair extensions online. However, to avoid a bad purchase, you can follow these steps:
- Pay attention to the quality of the hair. Read more in the question: 'How do I actually know if hair extensions are of good quality?'.
- Determine the desired wearing time (whether permanent or not) and attachment (Clips, Tapes, Keratin bondings).

- Choose the quantity. Are you going for more volume or length? With Keratin/Wax Extensions, from 75 strands you often have enough for a volume treatment. For a hair extension, you often need more than 100 strands.

This mainly depends on the thickness of your own hair and whether you want hair extensions or more volume. Typically, 100 to 125 strands are enough for a hair extension for normal hair. For thicker hair you usually need 125 to 175 strands. Do you just want more volume? Then 75 to 100 strands are usually enough, depending on the thickness of your hair.

No, our hair extensions are in principle not harmful to your hair. But Keratin/Wax Extensions are not completely harmless. However, everything you do with your hair always causes some damage, such as various hair treatments: coloring, straightening and blow-drying. You can limit damage to your hair as much as possible by having permanent hair extensions professionally installed and removed. In addition, it is important to take good care of the hair extensions. Hair care & styling
Always brush or comb your hair extensions carefully. Use a brush that is specially designed for hair extensions for this purpose. Always start at the bottom of the hair and hold the hair while brushing. You certainly don't want to pull out the hair extensions! Also, do not brush or comb through hair extensions that are wet. This way, you are more likely to damage them. We recommend brushing them 2 to 3 times a day to prevent tangling. Additionally, we advise sleeping with a braid or ponytail, and definitely not with wet hair.
We advise against dyeing our hair extensions, and if this is done anyway, it is at your own risk! When you dye the hair extensions yourself or have them dyed, the right to return or exchange is forfeited. Do you still want hair extensions in a lighter or darker color? Then order them directly in the correct color from our webshop. If in doubt, contact us, and we will be happy to provide you with more advice on this.
Please note: dyeing our hair extensions is at your own risk! If you dye the hair extensions yourself or have them dyed, you lose the right to return or exchange.
Yes, that's possible! Our hair extensions are made from 100% Human Hair. You can simply cut them into curls and wash them. Please note the following points:
- With Keratin/Wax Extensions and Tape Extensions, you must be careful not to touch the Tapes or Bondings with a hot straightener or hair dryer. This can damage them and cause them to become loose sooner.
- It is important that you never straighten or curl the hair extensions with tongs that are warmer than 180°C.
- "Brush your hair thoroughly before styling or curling and use a special serum to better protect the hair extensions. Don't be alarmed by the steam that comes off afterwards. This is due to the serum."
- You can simply wash your hair. We recommend using professional care products so that your hair extensions stay beautiful for longer.
- Of course, you can always get a haircut, but make sure you have it done by a hairdresser. They no longer grow back, so a cut is a cut!
Your hairextensions need specific hair products. Keep them beautiful and radiant this way. They are not harmful to your hair, they stay in place all day long, they are perfect for fun hair creations and ideal if you are still unsure about permanent hair extensions.
This is how you confirm Clip In Extensions:
- Use a comb to part your hair where you would like to create more volume or hair extensions.
- Backcomb your hair if you want to ensure that it stays in place even better (especially with very soft hair).
- Make sure there is enough hair at the top to fall over the Clips so that they are not visible.
- Then place the clips of the hair extensions between the parting, in the roots of your own hair.
- How many jobs you need to place in your hair depends entirely on your goal. If you really want to create a natural result, it is important that you distribute the hair extensions evenly over your hair, so that not one part is thicker than the other.
Enjoy your hair extensions all day long and don't forget to remove them from your hair before going to sleep. Give them a good brush and then store them neatly. This way they don't get tangled and you can simply put them back in the next day.

That depends on the attachment method of the hair extensions. Clip In Extensions you can easily place in your hair yourself and also easily remove again.
Keratin/Wax Extensions must be placed by a specialist or professional hairdresser. The placement is done with a heat iron. If this is not done properly it can damage your hair and scalp. The result will not be beautiful. You really don't want to take that risk!
We also recommend having the Tape Extensions and other ''fixed systems'' applied by a specialist or hairdresser. The tapes are very strong. For the best result and to prevent damage, it is therefore important that they are not applied incorrectly.
This depends on several factors, such as the attachment method and the desired hairstyle. With a hair extension it usually takes 2 to 3 hours and with just a volume treatment 1 to 2 hours.
How often you need to remove or replace hair extensions depends on: the quality of the hair, the attachment method, your hair growth, hair care, and how often you treat the extensions yourself. This includes coloring, curling, and styling. Just like natural hair, the more you treat the hair, the faster it gets damaged.
- With proper care and professional application, our Keratin/Wax Extensions last 3 to 4 months. After that, they need to be removed.
- Our (Slim) Tape Extensions last a long time, about 6 to 8 weeks. After that, you can have them removed and reapplied with new tapes.
- Clip-ins are not permanent and you can place and remove them yourself. If you take good care of them and avoid sleeping with them or doing other discouraged activities, they can stay beautiful for 12 to 24 months.
- Flat Weft Extensions:This method typically stays in place for 8 weeks, depending on hair growth and care. After that, the weft can be reattached or moved up by a professional.
- Infinity Strip Tape-In Weft
This innovative weft combines flexibility and durability and typically stays in place for 6 to 8 weeks. After that period, the weft can be repositioned or adjusted according to hair growth.
Tip: It is wise to visit your hairdresser or stylist for a check-up appointment after about 2 to 3 weeks. This way, it can be checked whether the extensions are still securely attached, if everything feels comfortable, and if any adjustments are needed. This helps to extend the lifespan of your hair extensions and prevent damage.
This question is often asked. On average, you will lose 10% of the hairs from the hair extensions. This is very normal. You lose about 100 to 150 hairs per day yourself. It may be that these hairs are attached to the hair extensions, causing some hairs from the hair extensions to come loose as well. Do you notice that you are losing a lot of hair extensions? More than average? Then contact us.
- Clip In Extensions: You can easily remove these hair extensions yourself thanks to the simple clip system. They are not permanent. Make sure to always take them out before sleeping. Otherwise, the hair extensions will tangle and will not stay beautiful for long.
- Keratine/Wax Extensions: You cannot apply these hair extensions yourself and they must also be removed by a specialist or professional hairdresser. This ensures it is done properly without damaging the hair. With a special remover fluid, the bondings are loosened from the hair.
- Tape Extensions: After 6 to 8 weeks, depending on factors such as your hair growth, scalp, and hair care, Tape Extensions need to be removed. Fortunately, they can simply be reapplied afterward. For this, you will need new tapes. In this case as well, the hair extensions are removed with a special remover fluid that loosens the tapes. This fluid is not harmful to your hair.
- Flat Weft Extensions
The removal method depends on the chosen attachment:
With the microring method, the small rings are opened with removal pliers and gently slid off the hair.
With the sewing method, the weft is cut loose from the thread with which it was secured.
In both cases, the hair remains completely intact when professionally removed. - Infinity Strip Weft is attached with an adhesive layer, just like Tape Extensions.
For removal, a special Tape Remover is used that safely loosens the glue, after which the wefts are carefully taken out of the hair.
After cleaning the wefts, they can easily be reattached with new tapes.
The remover is safe and not harmful to the hair, and the Infinity Strip Weft can be reused multiple times with proper care.
Tip: Always have the removal and reapplication of your hair extensions done by an experienced hairdresser or specialist.
This way you can be sure that your own hair is not damaged, the extensions are reused correctly, and the result remains beautiful and natural.
